Happening in April 2021, the Deep Exploration Program is designed to support kids’ creativity, critical thinking, teamwork and community-building skills. This unique program will let your child experience a range of fun and exciting activities. PIEX’s one-of-a-kind STEAM Program includes coding, robotics, origami, science experiments and much more.

Importance of the ocean

Every breath we take and every drop we drink is because of how effective the ocean works. The ocean provides us with huge benefits and acts as our planet’s life support.

Outlined by the National Ocean Service, the ocean:

• Produces over half of the world’s oxygen,
• Regulates our climate by transporting heat from the equator to the poles,
• Provides a sustainable food source of more than just seafood, and
• Allows for transportation and recreational activities, producing significant social and economic benefits.

However, because of climate change, pollution, unsustainable fishing practices and deep-sea mining, the ocean is facing major threats. According to National Geographic, these threats are so widespread that 40% of the ocean is severely affected. Leaving no area untouched. To better protect our oceans, we need to address the root causes of global warming putting our marine life at risk. And that’s where PIEX’s Deep Exploration Holiday Program comes in.

Play-Based Learning

The Deep Exploration Holiday Program uses play-based learning to teach your kids, where they get to dive into the deep in a high-tech submarine and explore the wonders and mysteries of the ocean. In turn, they also become inspired by technology-driven ocean exploration, animal conservation and energy generation. Including solving whether underwater turbines can solve energy problems in the world. They will also find out how deep the ocean really is and explore what is hiding in the most solitary places on earth.
